In the English language there are many words that look alike and they are called homophones.


If you are learning English, homophones can be confusing, especially when reading or writing, as the words may sound identical. And, if you use the wrong spelling, the meaning changes completely.

See - to perceive with one's eyes


Their - belonging to them

There - in or at that place


To - in the direction of or towards

Two - the number 2


Weather - atmospheric conditions outside 

Whether - if or in case that


Cite - to quote or reference a source

Sight - the ability to see or a visual perception


Bass - a type of fish or a low-pitched sound

Base - a foundation or starting point
